The CDC has recently estimated that over 500,000 people have alpha-gal syndrome, and our area has the highest percentage of the population. Western medicine's only treatment is to avoid red meat and dairy products. I have a natural and more helpful solution.

Alpha-Gal Syndrome, also known as AGS, is a unique allergic condition that involves an allergic reaction to red meat. It is named after the carbohydrate molecule called alpha-gal, which triggers the immune response in affected individuals.
People with AGS develop antibodies against alpha-gal after being bitten by certain types of ticks, particularly the lone star tick. The symptoms of this syndrome typically include delayed allergic reactions within a few hours of consuming when eating beef, pork, bison, goat, lamb, veal, or venison, or drinking animal milk or eating milk products.
The CDC has recently estimated that over 500,000 people have alpha-gal syndrome, and our area has the highest percentage of the population.
The symptoms for Alpha-Gal Syndrome can be easy to overlook. If you are experiencing general feelings of the Blahs, especially if it comes and goes, and it comes with brain fog, you could consider getting checked.
It's possible that you can be bitten by a tick and not have an immune response to the alpha-gal sugar, so AGS does not develop. However, if you do have AGS and an allergy to red meat, then within 6 hours of eating red meat, you can experience:
With that long list of symptoms, most people get one symptom, and every time they eat red meat, it's the same symptom repeatedly. It's not different symptoms all the time. The confusing part is that depending on how allergic a patient is, sometimes there can be a symptom and sometimes not.
Other foods, not just red meat, can cause an allergic response like this. So if you get any of those symptoms, getting muscle tested for all types of food sensitivities can make a difference to your health. For a list of all foods, we muscle test for include:
Western medicine's only treatment is to avoid red meat and dairy products. Eating poultry meat such as chicken, turkey, and duck is fine. So is eating fish and shellfish. There is no medicine they can give you.
At Healing Arts, we help people with AGS by strengthening their immune systems to reduce the allergic response. In this way, they can have less of an allergic reaction to no response at all when eating red meat or dairy.
Nutrition Response Testing is a holistic muscle testing technique used to identify nutritional deficiencies and imbalances in the body. These dietary imbalances can affect our overall health, including our immune system.
The immune system plays a vital role in defending the body against infections and diseases, including Alpha-Gal Syndrome. We are more susceptible to illnesses when the immune system is compromised or weakened. I can improve the immune system by identifying specific nutritional needs and addressing any deficiencies or imbalances using muscle testing.
Nutrition Response Testing can help identify the specific nutrients that support immune function by evaluating the body's response to various nutrients. This may involve recommending certain foods,
supplements, or dietary changes tailored to meet individual needs. The immune system may be better equipped to function optimally by addressing these nutritional deficiencies.
Please get in touch with me if you suspect any of the related Alpha-Gal symptoms apply to you. That may be challenging. Don't hesitate to get in touch with me if you are feeling out of sorts with any combination of minor symptoms that seem to come and go with occasional but severe brain fog. It could be Alpha-Gal, but it's definitely something.
